I have been working closely with Waters Edge Ceramics now for nearly 10 years. I see no need to use any other laboratory.

In that time I have developed my own clinical skills progressing from a GDP only comfortable restoring single teeth to a clinician who restricts his work to cosmetic and restorative cases, completely comfortable with larger full mouth cases and advanced cosmetic rehabilitation. Without the support of some excellent technicians I would still be restoring single teeth.

It is perfectly obvious to me that without the skill, communication, mutual respect and trust of my laboratory that my clinical work would suffer and the level of service that I give to my patients would be hampered. I have no wish to compromise and feel the benefits of world class technicians have helped me grow, producing work that is immensely satisfying for both me and my patients.

The level of service that I receive from Waters Edge is second to none, the efficiency of the booking system, the delivery team and all of the technicians cannot be faulted – simply they make my day a million times less stressful. Even during busy times they will strive to give the first class service that we have become accustomed to at St Ann’s.

With advanced restorative work communication is the key to success and guidance from the technician (and his/her skill) is fundamental to the end product.

We are also privileged to have John Wibberley and his team as part of our educational team at the Centre for Advanced Dental Education, CADE. The knowledge base of his team in the fields of restorative and implant dentistry is expansive and the enthusiasm to share and develop the careers of other clinicians and technical staff is infectious.

They form an integral part of our courses and our delegates gain a huge amount from the interaction and lectures. Moreover, every restorative case I present has many elements of laboratory work that I am proud to project on a full screen for all my peers to scrutinise.

On a personal note, I first saw John Wibberley lecture at a national conference over 10 years ago and was in awe of the work he was presenting.

To stand and lecture with John and to work with his team on a daily basis is a huge personal milestone for me and gives me great professional gratification.
